Visually centered around the Northern Lights and footage from the artist’s fellowship in the arctic, this installation by artist Allison Maria Rodriguez explores interconnectedness in nature, highlighting humans’ connection to the land, to other species, and to that which exists beyond our vision or understanding. Inspired by Hanukkah, it is also about hope in times of difficulty (and literally about light that exists in darkness) – and the strength and resiliency that may emerge from the smallest of places.
